TFT aims to partner with targeted corporations to raise funds for its activities. In addition, this will assist TFT to build awareness in the public sector for the need to support this type of preparedness training for the firefighters who are risking their lives for those of the people in their communities.
TFT’s partnerships with corporate sponsors, in addition to providing financial resources, would create or identify products from which a percentage of the proceeds would go to The First Twenty. This approach would be similar to the (RED)™ program to help fight the spread of AIDS in Africa. In 2007 the combined corporate sponsors for (RED)™ have spent over $100 million dollars in advertising. TFT believes that corporate sponsors would be willing to enable participating firefighters to obtain discounts on selected products. Corporate sponsors would also participate in supporting special events, such as concerts and benefits for The First Twenty.
